WEEK 12: Test and troubleshoot project

Date: 23- 27/10/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Test and troubleshoot project

Objective: To make sure the project running with correctly

Contents:

After all components are assemble and wiring, we test our project for the first time and the project is not function. We think the wires connection have something wrong. A few minutes later we have found the error which is the output wire of Bluetooth Module is connect wrong port at Arduino Mega. Then for second time we test our project, it running correctly like had set before.

Results/Analysis:

Press ON for Switch 3 

The kettle turn ON

Conclusion:

The project has complete and running with correctly. From the error in the project we have learn how to troubleshoot the error. So now our project ready for Industry Day but we just need to give last touch up to look nice. 

WEEK 11: Assemble and wiring all the components

Date: 16- 20/10/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Assemble and wiring all the components

Objective: To combine the all the components at the hardware

Contents:

After we write the coding to program the project, we assemble and wiring all the components into the transparent box. The components have hold by using hot glue and screw stand for make sure the components don't move. 

Results/Analysis:

 Assemble the components in the box

Conclusion:

Before do the wiring process it is very important to know the whole of wiring project and make a reference before connect the wire with component to avoid short circuit.

WEEK 10: Write the coding

Date: 9- 13/10/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Write the coding

Objective: To create the program of the project

Contents:

This week we focus to write the code because we know to write the code we should focus 100%. In this project we used Arduino Mega as micro controller because the coding for Arduino is used C++ language. To create own coding is hard for us, so we decide to refer at Youtube and other website to get the basic code and then we modified like we want. 

Results/Analysis:

Write code using Ardiuno Software

Conclusion:

The program of the project have been complete and now just need to upload to Arduino Mega to run the program. During write the code program we have learn and get the knowledge about the Arduino Mega. We hope the knowledge that we have we will apply to another project.

WEEK 9: Design and make casing project

Date: 2- 7/10/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Design and make casing project

Objective: To cover the circuit of the project

Contents:

The casing is important for our project because all components are using high voltage. The transparent box is built for safety aspect because the adapter is dangerous. So, the box can avoid from a people to touch the circuit.

Results/Analysis:

Conclusion:

We have done built the casing by using the acrylic to cover the circuit of the project.
