WEEK 17: Submit proposal and logbook

Date: 27/11- 1/12/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Submit proposal and logbook

Objective: To complete the assessment for FYP subject

Contents:

This is the last week for submitted the project proposal and logbook. The project proposal and logbook was submitted to our supervisor which is Madam Haslinawati binti Ramli.

Results/Analysis:

Conclusion:

We really hope that this project will successfully implemented and achieve the objective of the project. We want to say thanks to all the people especially Madam Haslinawati binti Ramli for help directly or indirectly during this period of time to complete our project.

WEEK 16: Create proposal abstract

Date: 20- 24/11/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Create proposal abstract

Objective: To make the simple summary of our project

Contents:

The presentation have done last week, so this week we write the abstract of proposal report. In the briefing the lecturer say a good abstract is should not exceed 350 word and must be written in one paragraph. We write the abstract of our proposal report with simple and easy to understand. 

Results/Analysis:

ABSTRACT

Nowadays user-friendly become one of the popular theme to proposed or create a product. The main purpose of this theme is to give more efficiency, save more energy and more friendly approach to the user while they use the product. Same goes to the Development of User-Friendly Power Extension, This project is proposed is to give more user-friendly to the user to use the power extension. Development of User-Friendly Power Extension is one of Arduino Mega based project. This project is proposed is to give more user-friendly to the user to use the power extension. This project used smartphone to turn ON and turn OFF the switch from the distance by using Bluetooth as the connection, the switch also can be turn ON and turn OFF by using Infrared Sensors. A few test is been done to some of the component to determine the condition of the component. This project can be one the user-friendly product, where it can be used to ease the user by controlling the power extension from a long and short distance.

Conclusion:

The abstract that  we write is simple and easy to understand when the reader read the abstract automatically their understand about our project. 

WEEK 15: Industry Day

Date: 15/11/2017 (Wednesday)

Activity: Project Presentation

Objective: To present our project to the assessors

Contents: 

On week 14, we had seen the name of our assessors which are Sir Aswadi and Dr. Imran. We presented all about of our project from start until finish with high confident  level because the presentation assessment is 40%. The assessors listened through the presentation until the question and answer (Q&A) session which he asked a few questions. After that, we answered his questions with relax and steady.

Time: 2.30pm – 5.30pm

Conclusion:

We would like to say thanks to our supervisor Madam Norhaslinawati Binti Ramli for his guidance, give advice and attention throughout the development of this project. We have done with the 40% assessment of the Final Year Project. 

WEEK 14: Create the poster and preparation for Industry Day

Date: 6- 10/11/2017 (Monday- Friday)

Activity: Create the poster and preparation for Industry Day

Objective: To make a preparation and practice on the presentation for UniKL BMI Industry Day

Contents: 

We designed a poster which is required during our presentation of the project on Industry Day next week. All the contents in the poster we take from our draft proposal report. Then, we submit the final poster to our supervisor to check the contents of poster.

We also practiced what we are going to present during the presentation and at the same time we get some consult from Madam Norhaslinawati for our project preparation.

The poster needs to have:

·        Course

·        Objectives

·        Product Description

·        Flow Chart

·        Methodology

·        Result & Analysis

·        Conclusion 

·        References

Conclusion: 

In conclusion, Madam Norhaslinawati had corrected some details on the poster. After get the consultation from our supervisor we are now prepared to present our project for next week.

WEEK 13: Final FYP Briefing

Date: 1/11/2017 (Wednesday)

Activity: Final FYP Briefing

Objective: To brief about the presentation and important thing about FYP

Contents:

As usually we have to attend the FYP briefing because all the information about the FYP subject will explain with detail in this briefing. This week is final briefing and the briefing start on 3pm until 5pm at TTL1. 

Results/Analysis:

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about:

·        Claim of project

·        Abstract

·        Poster

·        Attire for presentation

·        Presentation day

·        Submission date of proposal and logbook

Conclusion:

The lecturers that conduct the briefing are brief all about the FYP subject with clearly. Then we also understand all the criteria that must need in the poster,claim and etc.
